Dear John, Gary, and staff at McAir Aviation,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the privilege of beginning my flight training here at McAir. From day one, I have been amazed at the professional, friendly, and educational atmosphere at McAir. I called and left a message one evening back in May to inquire about the school, and by 8:30 the next morning I had a very polite and friendly call from Luke inviting me on a tour. On my tour that afternoon, I not only was introduced to you two, but also had the privilege of meeting Justin Wigal. I love how every time I walk in the hand shakes start going around, and I think that is an amazing atmosphere to cultivate and one that many businesses seem to have forgotten. I give McAir Aviation my highest recommendation for anyone wishing to pursue the pleasure of learning to fly.

va benefits flight training mcair aviation denverMcAir Aviation is approved by the Colorado State Approving Agency to offer Veteran Benefits through the Montgomery GI Bill.

A Veteran may use his or her benefits for flight training and be reimbursed up to 60 percent of the flight training costs.

The courses that McAir Aviation is approved for currently are the Instrument Pilot Rating, Commercial Pilot-Single-engine land and Multi-engine land Ratings.

To be eligible you must have a Private Pilots License and Class 2 medical. To start you must fill out the VA form 22-1990; you can download the application from the VA’s Website and file it electronically. If you are currently enrolled in another school, such as a college or tech school and receiving benefits, file VA Form 22-1995. Once you have completed the form, bring a copy of the filed form into the school along with your DD-214, if you are in the Guard or Reserves a copy of your NOBE (Notice of Basic Eligibility).

We take care of the rest. At the end of each month you will hand in a training log of all you training activities which will be certified to the VA. Payments from the VA typically take 2- 4 weeks after they receive the training certifications from our school. You can pick up a copy of the Veterans Information Bulletin (VIB) for a full explanation of the programs.
